Explorer and Naturalist Forrest Galante is Our Planet's Top Advocate!

Forrest Galante is a name synonymous with nature conservation, wilderness survival and animal expertise. During his youth living in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest developed a deep love and strong connection with the natural world that put him on his path in life. Galante's deep relationship with nature grew when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced his family from their farm and safari outfitters.

Throughout his life, Forrest Galante has caught crocodiles, swam with great white sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a charging water buffalo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. His career began in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, with a focus on animals close to extinction. His approach with wildlife, love for the outdoors and extraordinary background eventually led to the development of his own Animal Planet television program, 'Extinct or Alive.' The show shadows Galante as he travels the globe searching for creatures believed to be extinct.
